I was very productive this week with regards to my to-do list – which wasn’t long, but the tasks were rather large and time-consuming. Although I haven’t had time in the studio yet this week (I ran out of propane), I am planning a full day at the torch tomorrow in order to have some new beads ready to post on Etsy over the weekend. If you have any color requests, feel free to post a comment below (I am planning to start on Christmas-themed sets in addition to what you normally see from me).
On another note, I’ve been using my newer camera (after my old one gave up the ghost), and the results of my photos seem to be hit-or-miss. The newer camera is supposed to be an upgraded version of my old one (a Canon PowerShot), but it seems to have less settings and a lot of my photos are looking grainy. One of these days I’ll take a digital photography class. Or just go to a camera store to have them show me what I’m doing wrong. Regardless, please accept my apologies for photos that just haven’t been all that great. I guess it’s too much to ask for me to both rock at melting glass AND taking photos. I’ll keep trying to figure it out, though. Let me know if you have any tips.

I am currently working on listing new beads – remaining sets from the Preview Sale, as well as a few more brand new sets that are practically fresh from the kiln! Stay tuned as I get them posted. As of the time of this post, I have about 28 sets left to list!

Snickers thinks that beads are fun to play with. He got mad when I took a small string of spacers away (it had a couple of seed beads that I was afraid that he’d break and ingest).

I wasn’t able to finish pricing, etc. in order to post my newsletter preview sale last week, but I plan to release the newsletter later this week. I’m working hard to wrap up pricing tonight, and am aiming for a Wednesday release.
If you aren’t already a member of my private e-mail list, now is the time to join so you can take advantage of the opportunity to get first dibs on my new lampwork glass bead sets, before I list them on Etsy! Just click that button right there on the right. —->
Did I mention the new beads are discounted for newsletter members only? during this preview sale (sale terms will be provided in the newsletter).

This is just a quick heads up to let you know that I have a few new bead sets (and individual beads) that I’m almost ready to list. However, I will be having a “Newsletter Preview Sale” in order to give newsletter members first dibs on beads with a discount!
If you aren’t already receiving my newsletter, this is a great opportunity to sign up! Just click on the newsletter button over there on the right. That one over there ——>
I’m going to have one more studio session tonight so I can have a few more goodies, so plan on getting a newsletter on Thursday or Friday. Have a great rest of the week!

I worked hard taking photographs of beads on Monday, and I even managed to get several sets listed. I have about 20 more sets – a couple of large sets, but several small sets, focals, and lentil beads – that will be listed today. Stay tuned, and check back!

Well, crapola. I attempted to update to the most recent version of WordPress, and ended up just completely overwriting my website, which means I lost all of my old data files (all my old posts and comments). I guess it isn’t *so* bad, since I haven’t really had a lot of posts over the past 9 months – it will be like starting over again. I’ll have to figure out how to make a gallery so I can upload all of my old bead photos. Shouldn’t take too long to reconstruct things around here!
